Benoît Fromanger’s approach to conducting is profoundly shaped by his distinguished career as Principal Flute of the Paris Opera and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. His collaborations with legendary maestros such as Lorin Maazel, Leonard Bernstein, Carlos Kleiber, Bernard Haitink, Zubin Mehta, Carlo Maria Giulini, Riccardo Muti, and Mariss Jansons have given him an exceptional understanding of orchestral sound, style, and artistic leadership.
His artistic strengths focus on the following areas:
- French repertoire: Distinguished interpretations of major works of the Impressionist and Late Romantic repertoire, including Hector Berlioz, Maurice Ravel, and Claude Debussy.
