From 2006 to 2008 he served as principal flute in the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra conducted by Z. Mehta and in 2008 he became the Principal flute of the “Bayerische Staatsoper” in Munich.

Born in Frosinone, Italy in 1985, began his musical studies at the age of five under the supervision of his grandfather, the composer Gesualdo Coggi.
Gesualdo Coggi recorded Martucci’s Two Piano Concertos for NAXOS records. He usually performs with the flutist Paolo Taballione, Wind Quintets of National RAI Orchestra’s Soloists and as soloist with orchestras such as Rome Symphonic Orchestra, Bolzano Haydn Orchestra, Budapest Symphony Orchestra MAV, Toscanini Symphony Orchestra (Parma), Kaluga Symphony Orchestra (RU).
